Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with humorous rap tracks dealing with issues related to sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood when she dropped an album of raps. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. Also, she received Jazz and classical training before when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. While in college, she concentrated on her studies and took up a degree in women's studies and journalism. For a brief period of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. After graduating, it wasn't until when she decided to turn her attention towards music. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also contained also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$1. This song is directly linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. With musician and author as her credentials, she began looking for a third endeavor actor. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies such as Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed a number of breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
