Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker also a former worker at a factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone was regarded as exceptionally gifted in her academics when she entered two grades when she was five. She graduated from Saegertown High School in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. Additionally, she participated at Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt in 1977, relocated to New Jersey for a modeling job. Stone signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week after. Then, she relocated into Europe and spent the whole year living in Milan as well as Paris. Stone however became disillusioned in Europe by the fashion industry, and decided to venture to acting. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" the film which got mixed reviews.
